Baylor Institute for Studies of Religion

BISRLogo_window onlyIn concert with you and your prayer partner, Baylor University’s Institute for Studies of Religion will gather and evaluate the data for a new study—the first empirical study of its kind—measuring the outcome of two people praying together, for at least 5 minutes a day, for 40 days.

You and your partner will take the survey on your first and fortieth days of praying together. Your private information will be unseen by anyone except social scientists at Baylor.

As praying partners you will identify with one of four categories:

  • Married Couples
  • Unmarried Couples
  • Two Family Members
  • Two Friends

The Baylor survey can be fun and should take no more than 10 minutes to complete.

At the end of your 40 days you’ll have a report card in the form of bar graphs on how well you have done on a range of questions measuring your relationship and experiences with daily prayer.

Daily prayer with another person will soon be described as a wondrous gift you never fully understood was there and awaiting you. Are you prepared to wake up every day excited and energized to see what the God of heaven and earth has in store for you?

Get ready. It’s more than you could imagine.
